Bird Nesters
Birds pull pieces of alpaca fiber from the nesters and use them to line their nests. The alpaca fiber keeps the baby birds cozy and warm.
We use fiber from older animals and rescues that is unsuitable for yarn to fill our nesting products. Over the years, we've welcomed several unwanted alpacas into our herd, where they receive the care and attention they deserve. Our Nesting Material
All Natural
Our nesting material is 100% raw alpaca fiber (and occasionally a bit of llama). Environmentally friendly - no synthetic fibers.
Chemical Free
No chemicals, dyes, or medications. Pet fur contaminated with flea/tick medications or other products is sometimes used to fill bird nesting products, which can have a negative impact on baby birds.
Short Staple Length
Our nesting fibers are short, decreasing the chances of baby birds becoming tangled like they can with other fillers such as yarn scraps.
